Tampa Bay Area Ren Fest

Went to the Ren Fest. LOVED IT! OMG, the male and I had a great time-- until my fibromyalgia kicked in. But then we shopped. Male realized this was one of those places where Cyn shopping means cool, kick ass shit. So, I wanted to post some of the links of the places we went. Visit these people-- buy their stuff. Seriously, you will NOT be disappointed!

I bought stuff, haggled, had a fabulous time. THanks to these people-- they made my day so much the brighter!

A Renfest in Tampa?!? No way!! I've been to the one in Maryland several times. My son was recently asking about going again - he remembered the jousting, a giant wooden slide, turkey legs, and an elephant ride (raising money for an elephant sanctuary). He last went when he was 3yo, 4 years ago! He (we) really liked music too, esp. The Evil Babes (Mediaeval, that is).
So, did you get a puzzle ring? Can you solve the thing? I can, barely. My husband is a pro. I need to get a new one, or have mine repaired - I managed to crush both of mine (1 gold, 1 silver), while they were put together, and while wearing them - w/o breaking any bones. I am hell on jewelry.
Anyway, I am soooooooo jealous!! :-) Ren Fests are fun. Hopefully we will be in the US for the '09 season and catch one with the kids then.

MOSI is the host of the Ren Fest every year from Feb-April. It's fantastic, though this year I waited until the last weekend to go. LOLOL But it was worth it. I will admit to some sleeping yesterday. (gods did I EVER sleep!)

Of course, you're living in the land I've dreamt of visiting. Go look at some awesome faisence for me. LOL And say hi to the mummies...I so want to see the mummies...and go to the market...and see all the sites....

I remember MOSI (barely)! No Renfest when I was there though. :-(

I wish I could teleport you over here! No one in my family has expressed much interest. Most are worried about us. What? We'd be safer in DC?! I got evac'ed out of Pakistan in time for fun with the DC snipers - no thanks!

I would love to have a guest that was interested in wandering the sights with me. Altho I tend to do more of the local modern stuff - good thing I am loving the culture. It's hard with little ones to be a true tourist.. I spend more time at the Pyramids trying to keep Brian from touching everything (sorry, but ew!), and to keep Honor from being kissed too much, than actually seeing sights or hearing the tour guides! Ah well - to every season, right? In the meantime, I will promise to always take my camera and snap/post lots of pics.. even if I have no idea what is in front of me because I had to ignore my guide and stop Honor from reaching her hands out, Bast-like, and summoning all the nearby stray cats.
